Minipost: This Belf Was Made for (RP) Walking

Fabulor loves RP walking. This should come as no surprise to anyone.

He's done it since day one. Whenever there was a chance to walk, not run, he'd take it.

This habit carried all the way up to Hellfire Ramparts, where it reached absurd levels of hilarity. Everyone knows the seemingly-endless Ramps grind. Well, Fabulor made it a little less tedious and a lot more entertaining by RP walking through the entire instance, and never stopping.

It was a game of sorts - the tank and DPS would have to kill the mobs fast enough to beat Fab to the next trash pack, while Fabulor kept everyone healthy with instant casts. It was an escort quest, with Fab as the escort NPC.

It really was a lot of fun, and a few times the LFG pug players would just join in and we'd RP walk through the dungeon together. Great times.

Anyway, after that the dungeons got harder - or just LONGER, meaning Fab couldn't just walk through - so the RP walk button got mostly retired.

UNTIL RECENTLY.

After raid one night, Fabulor was hanging out in Brawler's Guild buffing Lyon, a mage guildie. Buglamp was also there.

It was pretty quiet, and we were mostly just watching Lyon try to down the snake boss. Without telling either of them what I had planned, I queued Fab up for a fight (it was like the second guy, I had defeated Bruce months ago for the achievement), and popped in, RP-walking, and demolished whatever paltry foe it was.

It you have to do something, do it with style.

After that, I realized that hey, I was actually interested in Brawler's Guild now! Not as a test of my amazing offspec Retribution DPS or soloing skill - but to see how many bosses I could kill while only RP walking.

(The very next fight was almost the end of this, as Goredome's charge/insta-kill is pretty damn hard to avoid while walking!)

Four down, many to go!

Also, when Fabulor set out last week to finish up the Legendary Cloak quest, I saw that there was a solo scenario healing challenge. Unlike Brawler's Guild rank 1 fights, surely this would be an intense struggle and Fabulor wouldn't be able to RP stroll through it, right? Right??

(Answer: Never doubt Fabulor's commitment to being, well, himself.)

I really want to know if I can RP walk through an actual raid fight. Maybe Council of Elders? Or Twin Consorts? I'll have to try it. FOR (RP) SCIENCE!

Does it count as RP walking through the encounter if you never even move?

What was your rotation as a pally for that fight?

I didn't really have a set rotation - I beaconed Wrathion, kept Eternal Flames rolling on both him and myself, and generally just used Holy Shock and further EF's on whichever of us was lower. When I had Meta procs, I'd use them on 2x Flash of Lights on Wrathion for the quick healing + double HP.
