Minipost: Glasya, Herald at last
A few months ago, I wrote about my mage, Glasya, and how she was still xp-locked and still level 80, since she had never actually done that which she was meant to do - kill Algalon and earn a Herald of the Titans title.
Well, that all changed yesterday.
I was discussing From Draenor With Love scripts with Vid when Miri tweeted me asking if I was around, because they were - get this - one DPS short for their guild Herald run. And wouldn't you know it, I just happened to have an xp-locked, Herald-geared mage ready to go. I do Flex raids with her guild very often so I know them pretty well, but I imagine they must have still been rather surprised.
What followed was actually a few minutes of sheer, total panic on my part because I hadn't actually played Glasya since the end of Cataclysm. As I got invited to group and got warlock summoned into Ulduar, I was frantically looking up info on Noxxic, trying to remember how to mage.
Thankfully Arcane hasn't changed very much since then, especially with no level 90 talent to worry about, and I had created some very helpful (read: obvious) weak auras back then that told me exactly what to do. Remembering the various cooldowns and their keybinds was somewhat interesting for a few minutes, but it all came back to me pretty quickly.
After a few wipes and fine-tuning our strategy slightly, Algalon fell and we had our Herald titles. Well, I already had mine from before, but this time, finally, Glasya had earned it for herself.
It may have taken a few years longer than everyone else, but she got there in the end. And it felt really good.
Now, there was just one thing left to do.
Oh, and look at that - I left myself a little treat a few years ago, for when I eventually turned Glasya's experience back on...
Hello, experience bar. It's been a long time.

Congratulations, Glasya!

Congratulations! I'm sitting on an XP locked rogue who is still building her gear for that title. Once, she was in a guild with a plan, but now she just handles the daily auction house grind. Sad, sad Maura.

Grats Rades :D that will be something I will never get as it would require some kind of ALT... but it's exciting to see someone else's!
