Minipost: Behind Enemy Lines

After taking a month or so off out of pure, unbridled spite, Fabulor finally buckled down and hit Exalted with the Golden Lotus. I had been in no rush, since I already had a better neck for healing than the one you get as a quest reward, but I figured I may as well get the Retribution option for doing dailies or scenarios.

Of course, this being the Golden Lotus I was dealing with, I was hardly surprised when the final quest told me to go kill ONE HUNDRED Mogu. Really, guys? Haven't we killed enough Mogu for you, day after day, big mogu, stone mogu, dog mogu, ghost mogu? Wearily, I accepted the quest and reminded myself that my slavish Mogu-slaying days for the GL were almost at an end.

It wasn't long before I realized that I was in a heavily-phased Vale of Eternal Blossoms, with hundreds of Mogu scattered everywhere. So naturally, I headed right over to the Alliance city in the Vale to see if it was also phased.

To my delight, it was! I approached carefully, looking for Alliance guards, for nearby players who would quickly pounce on me should I become PVP-flagged, but the coast was clear. I just strolled right in.

I was pretty disappointed with what I found. I thought it'd be pretty different in style or design, much like the Scryer and Aldor rises in Shattrath. Instead, it was...exactly the same. Like, EXACTLY. The only real difference I saw was that the red Horde banners were replaced with Alliance blue.

Oh, there was ONE notable exception, I suppose.

Look who it is! Sup, Varian. Garrosh sends his regards.

Varian was content to just hang out and pose for some pictures, but sadly, our time together was cut short by a meddlesome Alliance guard who, after a few moments, seemed to aggro through the floor(?!) and ran up and chased me out.

She might look pissed, but I think she was just thrilled to see Fabulor.

It was fun sneaking a peek into the Alliance Pan-Dalaran, even if the results were a little boring. I wonder if Alliance players who wander into the Horde city will find Garrosh waiting for them?

I encountered neither Garrosh nor his guards while exploring the Horde base. However, it's good to finally find out which Silvermoon rep Variance has been meeting with. Sorry about the overzealous guards. Some of them had family in Theramore.

That should be Varian. Never let a Gnome design your auto correct feature.

Ooh, I'll hit exalted with Lotus tomorrow hopefully. Heart sunk at the 100 mogu quest when I read it, but so be it!

I'll have to have a poke around the Horde shrine wen I phase out. Big love.
