Minipost: Welcome to Fabuland! [Animal Crossing]

I picked up Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the 3DS last week, just like, oh, EVERYONE IN EXISTENCE (or so it seems, anyway). I've always enjoyed the series, and now with wireless capability, expect that being able to visit the towns of Twitter or guild friends who also have the game will be a lot of fun.

When it came time to make my character, I went with Rades, obviously. But a town name? Well, Fabuland, of course!

(I also get a kick how the game colors "Rades" in green, and "Fabuland" in pink - it's perfect!)

I was puttering around gathering fish and bugs to sell off my first house, when Stop interrupted my moneymaking with an amazing idea:

I was vaguely aware you could change the town flag, but hadn't really looked into it. I laughed at the idea of making it Fabulor's face, because I'd have to draw it with the in-game simple MS-Paint-ish designer...but then figured, hey, why not? Might as well try it, at least.

And, presto:

I think it turned out pretty well!

(I also discovered that in addition to displaying your designs as your town flag, you can also wear the design as shirts!)

It's hard to describe just how hilarious it is to be playing through the game with Fabulor's cheeky grin plastered right on my chest. I love it.

And of course, Fabuland would not be complete without a special greeting walkway for visitors!

Oh. My. GAWD. I just saw this post, which makes me sad, because I should've seen it much much earlier. Please make this a fantabulous Fabulor funland. Can I come visit someday? It wouldn't be quite the same as meeting the Fabulous One himself in LFR, but there'd be a lot less murder since I'd promise to leave the axes at home.

You can visit my town if you'd like! Newdood may be dull in comparison (http://newdoodnews.wordpress.com/), but we have cherries? And an orange tree ... and ... uh ... ok, that's about it for the pros that might entice you to visit. I'll trade you the weird wrestling bird Lucha?
