Non-Raid Transmog Weapons: Two-Hand Swords

I'm not sure what it is about Maces, but I just don't seem to like very many of them. I feel a little silly having so few Maces, and so many Axes and Swords, so it's possible I'll revise this list later with some more options.

Non-Raid Two-Hand Swords

Obsidium Executioner
Required Level: 81
Source: Blacksmithing

There are quite a few swords that use this surprisingly detailed model. The rest are all random green Bind-on-Equip drops, so check the AH for Angerfang/Bladefist/Razorwind/Rustmaul/Splinterspear Greatswords.
Blade of the Titans
Required Level: 44
Source: Bind-on-Equip

This short, wide-bladed swords is a Blue-quality BoE item, but it seems surprisingly common on the AH, and usually for under 100g. Pretty nice look for the price!
Claymore of the Prophet
Required Level: 80
Source: Vendors (Various)

Alliance-only, unique model. Purchasable from the Argent Tournament vendors for 25 Champion's Seals.
Greatsword of the Sin'dorei
Required Level: 80
Source: Vendors (Various)

Horde-only, unique model. Purchasable from the Argent Tournament vendors for 25 Champion's Seals.
Darkened Broadsword
Required Level: 63
Source: Bind-on-Equip

This random green drop actually has a distinctive, unique model! You'd be insane to try to farm this, but if you like the look definitely keep an eye out for it on the AH.
Demonshear
Required Level: 42
Source: Stratholme

One of the few "blood vein" sword models still in the game. Has a 24% drop rate.
Dreadlord's Blade
Required Level: 78
Source: Culling of Stratholme

This incredible-looking sword drops from the last boss of Normal Culling, and is a unique model. One of the coolest non-raid two-handers in my opinion!
Endbringer
Required Level: 70
Source: Heroic Underbog

Virtually unique model (Alliance Warriors can get a recolor from a class quest). 17% drop rate.
Fel Iron Greatsword
Required Level: 63
Source: Blacksmithing

This extremely-easy-to-get sword shares a model with many other swords, but sports a special red blade. There probably won't be many players using this.
Greatsword of Forlorn Visions
Required Level: 70
Source: Botanica (Normal and Heroic)

A very cool blade on this one - the middle is solid, but the outer edges are translucent. 14% drop rate on Normal, 15% on Heroic.
Haunting Blade
Required Level: 16
Source: Shadowfang Keep (Numerous)

The red etchings on this blade are attractive, and uncommon! Drops from both Lord Godfrey (23% drop rate) and the rare spawn Deathsworn Captain (47% drop rate). Horde can also get this model in the Sunfury Blade via a Quest, and a green-etching version is a blue BoE drop from Sunken Temple trash.
Illidari-Bane Claymore
Required Level: 67
Source: Quest

Very cool crystalline sword, hefty and solid-looking. Shares a model with Shaarde the Greater, which drops from Normal Mana-Tombs at a 15% drop rate.
Quantum Blade
Required Level: 70
Source: Heroic Black Morass

Crystalline yet still metal looking, with some great thick lines/edges. Unique model, as well! 17% drop rate.
Massacre Sword
Required Level: 54
Source: Bind-on-Equip

For a random green drop, this sword looks AMAZING. A silver-bladed version, Blackblade of Shahram, drops from General Drakkisath in Blackrock Spire, but at a low, low 1.7% drop rate.
Mourning Malice
Required Level: 80
Source: Halls of Reflection

Very detailed, if slightly unusual design. 23% drop rate from final boss in Normal Halls of Reflection.
Runeblade of Demonstrable Power
Required Level: 80
Source: Vendor

Huge, spiky, mean-looking. Great sword. Shares a model with Troll Butcherer, which drops from Trollgore in Normal Drak'Tharon Keep, 32% drop rate.
Sin'dorei Warblade
Required Level: 15
Source: Quest

This Horde-only, unique sword model is a reward from the final quest in Ghostlands. Very detailed non-symmetrical look.
Sul'thraze the Lasher
Required Level: 44
Source: Special

This is created by combining two one-hand swords, Jang'thraze and Sang'thraze. Shares a model with Warmonger (Bind-on-Equip, red center) and Sword of Nefarian's Hand (Quest reward, green center).
Training Sword
Required Level: 5
Source: Bind-on-Equip

Looks like a wooden kendo sword. Pretty fun, though I'm not sure if it will be transmoggable.

One way people can farm for 'world' drops: make a list of all the rare spawns in that level range, pick the zone with the most of them, and go and kill them all a few times. They're almost guaranteed to drop a green, and rarely will drop two. They're usually almost all up at once, since the density of people levelling is pretty low.

Your best bet is still probably the AH, but if you hate waiting you can at least try your luck.

    That's more like it!

Don't forget 'Destiny'. That was one of my first Epics in WoW XD

Well, I know one little blood knight that is making use of the fel iron greatsword. She was skeptical of it at first, wanting something flashier, but it is pretty good for what she can get (her pally is only 68).

@Jamin @Redbeard - Destiny and Quel'Delar are great, but I'm trying to stick more with weapons that one could reasonably set themselves a goal of farming up. I suppose Quel'Delar would be farmable now...but ugh, what a pain it would be!

@Rades-- Don't forget that a lot of people already have Quel'Delar, and I'm pointing it out so that they don't dump the thing in some bank cleanup.

Oh, and when you do Polearms, you'd better remind folks about the late great Blood Tempered Ranseur for Pallys. Q still has his own Ranseur, and I intend to bring that out of retirement when 4.3 drops. I get enough grief when I have him use a polearm in BGs, but I figure why not? He's a Blood Knight, and if there's one thing that you see all over the place at any given Sindorei/Queldorei encampment it's the polearms used by the guards.

I think the training sword will probably make the cut. It's just a simple model. I bet they'll cut out the broom, though.
