Non-Raid Transmog Weapons: One-Hand Maces
Maces are an odd duck. There's many interesting ones, but so, so many boring ones. But anyway, here we go! There are many One-Hand healer maces that would normally never really be used in melee, so they might make interesting options for transmogging. However, these tend to be Main-Hand weapons, which means you cannot dual-wield them. Sad!
Non-Raid One-Hand Maces
Silvermoon War-Mace Required Level: 62 Source: Bind-on-Equip Simple but nice. Just check the AH, they're only green quality so it shouldn't be too long before one shows up.
Spider Splatter Mace Required Level: 37 Source: Quest Frying pans! Not sure if this will be allowed once Transmog is live, but it's a pretty interesting weapon choice.
Crimson Cranium Crusher Required Level: 75 Source: Quest Reward from the Amphitheater of Anguish in Zul'drak. If you're lucky, you skipped it and can now go get this sweet hammer! Otherwise, hope you can nab the next item on the list off the AH. Main Hand version available.
Unknown Archaeologist's Hammer Required Level: 72 Source: Bind-on-Equip My personal favorite, I'll be rocking these if I end up using maces in 4.3! Keep checking the AH, they're rare but show up every now and then. Main Hand version available.
Cookie's Tenderizer Required Level: 15 Source: Deadmines Another classic. Unlike many of the other "joke" weapons, this one's been around forever...AND it's blue-quality. So I'm guessing it will be eligible for transmog. Has a 20% drop rate.
Dragonjaw Mauler Required Level: 77 Source: Bind-on-Equip These hefty maces seem to be pretty common on the AH, and for reasonable prices. If you're looking for a mean-looking weapon, it's certainly a decent choice. Main Hand version available.
Stormstrike Mace Required Level: 80 Source: Heroic Violet Hold If you don't want to pay for the Dragonjaw Mauler, you could farm this from Heroic Violet Hold...but given the random nature of the bosses, this might be a real pain. If you get lucky and get Erekem, he has a 33% chance of dropping this weapon. Main Hand version available.
Warsong Punisher Required Level: 78 Source: Vendor (Horde) Horde players can purchase this item if they are Revered with the Horde Expedition. The base price is 61g, 46s, 80c. Main Hand version available.
Hurley's Tankard Required Level: 51 Source: Blackrock Depths Easily farmed, 29% drop rate. A fun choice, especially for dwarves.
Mug O' Hurt Required Level: 41 Source: Bind-on-Equip Very similar to Hurley's Tankard, but available on the AH.
Bloodskull Destroyer Required Level: 70 Source: Heroic Escape from Durnholde I quite enjoy the long handles on these cool looking hammers. Looks like something right out of Firelands. 15% drop rate.
Stinging Viper Required Level: 16 Source: Wailing Caverns Easily farmed, and a high drop rate (48%). Main Hand version available.
Venomspitter Required Level: 55 Source: Blackrock Spire Easily farmed, if a bit annoying. 20% drop rate. Main Hand version available.
Chopped Off Ancient Limb Required Level: 9 Source: Quest (Horde) I love this mace. It's so comical, and huge! I think it'll look quite funny to dual-wield these. Main Hand version available.
Excavator's Brand Required Level: 35 Source: Bind-on-Equip This weapon is a lit torch that constantly burns and smolders. Very cool. It's a random trash drop in Uldaman, so you could farm for it if you really wanted to.
Shovel of Mercy Required Level: 19 Source: Quest (Horde) A hilarious weapon choice, though I suspect it will be ineligible for transmog.
Mariel's Sorrow Required Level: 80 Source: Heroic Trial of the Champion 13% drop rate. A Horde-only red/blue version is available, Grimhorn Crusher, which is available from the Argent Tournament vendors for 25 Champion's Seals. Both are pictured.
Aledar's Battlestar Required Level: 80 Source: Heroic Trial of the Champion 17% drop rate. An Alliance-only yellow/green version is available, Ironforge Smasher, which is available from the Argent Tournament vendors for 25 Champion's Seals. Both are pictured.
Tremendous Tankard O' Terror Required Level: 85 Source: Bind-on-Equip Of course, I have to mention the Tankard. Extremely common on the AH, though fairly expensive if you're only getting it for transmog purposes. Still a very cool weapon model.
The Shatterer Required Level: 47 Source: Blacksmithing This gold and blue hammer is simple but attractive. Shares a model with Masterwork Stormhammer, also created via Blacksmithing. Some Main Hand variants include Gavel of Pure Light (requires Exalted with Sha'tar, base price 200g 36s 50c), and Dathrohan's Ceremonial Hammer (Heroic Escape from Durnholde, 15% drop rate).
Truncheon of Five Hells Required Level: 70 Source: Heroic Hellfire Ramparts This rare orange-colored mace has a unique model, and would perfectly match the colors of a Paladin's Judgement transmog set. Has a 16% drop rate. |
Non-Raid Main Hand MacesThere are so, so many caster Main Hand maces. Way too many, so I skipped them.
Melia's Magnificent Scepter Required Level: 75 Source: Bind-on-Equip Pretty rare but very cool weapon. Check the AH.
Hammer of Wrenching Change Required Level: 77 Source: Quest (Horde, Alliance) Yet another giant hammer model, if you didn't do much questing in Icecrown then you can simply pop out and pick this up quite easily.
Hammer of Quiet Mourning Required Level: 74 Source: Quest Quest reward for killing Ragemane in Zul'Drak.
Blackfathom Mace Required Level: 20 Source: Quest (Alliance)
Giant Club Required Level: 32 Source: Bind-on-Equip
Talon Branch Required Level: 47 Source: Quest (Alliance)
Cudgel of Consecration Required Level: 70 Source: Heroic Magister's Terrace This ornate, crystal-flanged mace looks fancy yet functional. 25% drop rate. It shares a model with Northshire Battlemace, which drops from Escape from Durnholde at a 18% drop rate.
Bleeding Hollow Warhammer Required Level: 70 Source: Heroic Slave Pens Black and red, solid and spiked. Would go well with a Blood Knight color motif. 15% drop rate. |

At the end of wrath my rogue was running around with two boards with nails in them as his maces. I don't remember the model name, but they were just lvl 68 or so greens.
I should grab one off the ah for old times sake!

I love the "Chopped Off Ancient Limb" look. It is something similar to what I have in the bank on my warrior.
When I was leveling him I came across this green that just looked like a giant stick. It was fantastic, hanging on the ground following my little dwarf. I actually think it is bigger then my dwarf.
It is one of the few things I actually want to mog. Speak softly and carry a big stick. That is my dwarf warriors motto.
I am so glad I saved it from way back when. It was just too awesome to ever sell.
You offer me a few other fun options here I am going to have to get to have some fun when tanking.

Ver ver nice list. I did not realize were boe variations on the Hammer of Quiet Mourning and Crimson Cranium Crusher. I shall make a note.
Other easy fer ta obtain maces be the Grimhorn Crusher / Ironforge Smasher, assumings what you's already done Argent Tourney attunements. Oh, wowhead sez what the Warsong Punisher be a one-hander, not main-hander.

@GrumpyElf - The Chopped Off Ancient Limb is one of my favorite maces in the game. I'm going to use it on my Priest as well.
@Ratshag - The Grimhorn Crusher is a good one, yeah! And good catch on the Warsong Punisher, thanks! I have fixed that now. :D

Rades you're confusing my tired mind. That first pic is not maces.. I swear those are swords!
I love the shovel and the spider spatter, though I use them mostly for playing around with my silly world of dresscraft.
But in my mind, a DK beating ppl with Cookie's tenderiser (original non heroic) would be just superb.

I thought they said you wouldn't be able to tmog mugs? Also you can tmog 1H to MH, right? I can't remember which way you're allowed to do it.

@Navimie - Admittedly, I was looking for any sort of picture using non-raid weapons, and my WoW Model Viewer was locked into the pose I was using for the weapons, so I couldn't take a new one! I'll swap it up soon though, haha. ;)
@Mittenz - I'm not sure if the mugs will be transmog-able. But in general, I think "real" weapons should end up being eligible options - they're legitimate weapons, not silly ones or vanity ones, but legit weapons used while leveling. So I think/hope they'll be allowed.
And as far as I know, we will be able to transform use a 1h weapon's look on either hand, but a MH weapon's look only on MH? I think?

Shovel of Mercy cant be transmoged, atleast on ptr

I tested this today on the PTR and the Tremendous Tankard O' Terror can be used for Transmogrification. It is only visible while the weapon is unsheathed tho, so you won't see it hanging from your waist.

Anvilmar Hammer, uncommon random BoE drop, level 69 to equip. This weapon looks like a board with a nail in the end, is transmogable. My dwarf shaman is currently using these for her transmog duel wield. Looks great!

Chewie (Blade's Edge-Horde)
The Blackhorn Bludgeon (The Grinder for alliance) http://www.wowhead.com/item=47905/blackhorn-bludgeon
drops from Anub'arak in Trial of the Crusader. It's basically a larger red version of the
Heavy Geode Mace http://www.wowhead.com/search?q=heavy+geode+mace
found in Stonecore.
