Minipost: Crawgol's Silithid Field Guide

I've started working on Loremaster as Rades, which has been a fun project so far. I not only get to experience all the fun new quests in the revamped zones, but also net achievements and eventually (unless I quit) a great accomplishment that I've been thinking about for ages. Also, since they're low-level zones, I've been able to dig out my favorite gear set (ICC gear) and wear it around again! :D HORDE COLORS.

I'm currently working through the Southern Barrens quests. Now, I was excited to do this zone for the Camp Taurajo events, but another quest has fast become one of my new favorites - Firestone Point.

An orc named Crawgol explains that he's been dealing with a local silithid situation for a while, which makes him the resident expert. And the Earthen Ring wants his expertise on these strange bugs, so Crawgol has written up (in his words) "probably the most definitive thing ever written about this foe" and asks you to deliver the book for him.

I headed out and, like always, checked the book to see if it was readable. I was delighted to see that it was! And then I burst out laughing. Crawgol's expertise is some of the funniest writing I've ever seen in WoW. This is right up there with Orkus or Dumass or Zen'kiki. It's priceless.

Now who says orcs aren't intelligent?

Crawgol's Silithid Field Guide
"The Authoritotal Handbook"

<Crawgol's handwriting is large and uneven, little better than a childlike scrawl.>

The sillu- scilla- <Several misspellings are crossed out> silithid are bug-type animals, not vegetables (at least without a fight). They live in the under the ground, except when they are not. Some of them fly? (I think).

They taste REAL BAD.

Most silithid are made of bug parts. They have between none and eightish legs (depending on how they died?)

Burning makes them die. They have shells (called cara pieces because they are made from cara obviously) that can't be stabbed unless you do it hard.

They can dig fast but I don't know how fast because they dig in the dirt.

THE ORIGIN OF THE SILITHID

Almost all silithid come from holes, usually in the ground.
